Listen to the City is a proposal for a sound installation that allow the audience listen to the urban city sounds without traveling around the city. When we travel, we use our eyes as our main guides and don't pay attention to what we hear along the way. This installation attempts to make the audience hear the sounds that the ears pick up while travelling in the city. It is a collection of city sounds, the sounds will then developed with a custom software and perform in a gallery space.
The installation also portrays the chaotic city life through the sounds, most of which are rather mystifying and different. City-life is usually perceived as something very organized, but in reality, it is the exact opposite, and that is what this installation hopes to make the people think about.
